Who are Ventforet Kofu?
Ventforet Kofu is a Japanese football club from Kofu, Japan. The team competes in the highest competition in the J League. Kofu play their home games out of Kose Sports Stadium, a 17,000 seat circular stadium. The most recent Socceroo to play for VF Kofu is Oliver Bozanic. Currently mid table in the J League 1 (at the time of posting), VF Kofu are well known in Japan for their youth development. They have a great reputation for creating quality youth products from their Academy.
What is the clinic all about?
The clinic will be run by two of VF Kofu’s elite youth academy coaches Soichi Shimane and Ryosuke Ozawa. The clinic will offer a unique Japanese football program during the June/July school holidays for players to learn new football skills, work on their technique and experience a different style of football coaching.
Who are the VF Kofu Academy coaches?
Soichi Shimane is a JFA A Licence coach. Soichi has 20 years of experience as a football development coach. He is currently the VF Kofu’s Academy youth director, in which he has overseen many of Japan’s exciting young football talent. Ryosuke Ozawa holds a JFA Junior A licence and has been working with talented young football players for the last decade. After joining Kofu in 2013, Ryosuke has gone on to work with many of the young talent that have proceeded to play in the senior team. His passion is to continuously improve his club’s talent.

Will I get the chance to be scouted by a J League club?
There is an opportunity to be scouted by the VF Kofu coaches and a J league scout who will be attending all 3 days of the clinic. The club will have a certain criteria that they look for in players and if interested will get in contact with players and parents. Work hard and who knows how far a player can go.
How are the sessions structured?
The first group of 7 to 11 year olds will be focused on individual skills such as coordination, ball mastery and decision making. Sessions will run from 9am to 12pm on all three days.
The second group of 12 to 14 year olds will be focused more on tactical team exercises as well as touching on individual skills and football moments. Sessions will run from 1pm to 4pm on all three days.

Follow the prompts all the way to the end of the registration, make payment and email your receipt to the Olympic administration. Once completed, you will be receiving (in the coming weeks) further information concerning the day and how it will run.
