OLYMPIC vs PINE RIVERS
Monday 19th July
In round 20 of the Veto Brisbane Premier League, Olympic host Pine Rivers at Goodwin Park on Sunday 25th of July. The main game kicks off at 4pm.
This is a crucial game for the boys of Yeronga. Olympic needs to continue their push for a top two spot which is crucial for their grandfinal chances. This game will be tricky because Pine Rivers currently in second last spot will be doing their best to gain 3 important points if they are going to avoid relegation into Division 1 next season. There is alot riding on this game said Bellas, "we need the 3 points to stay in second spot while they need it to survive in the Premier League next season".
"In the first round we gifted them 3 points because of an administrative error, so I'll just remind our guys that we should need to win this game to avenge the 3 points we lost earlier this season".
The Reserve grade side will also be looking to secure all 3 points against the bottom side if they are to secure their spot in the finals come September. The afternoon games commence with Olympic's Yout 1 side doing battle with another northside club, Albany Creek. They are currently second and need the 3 points to continue their drive to play Premier Youth football next season.
So all games at Goodwin Park are crucial for their respective teams and all support for our players will be greatly appreciated.
The Youth game kicks off at 11.45am whilst the Reserves start at 1.45pm.
