Olympic vs Buderim

7th February 2010

Our senior football sides travelled to the sunshine coast for a friendly game against the Buderim Wonderers Football Club on the weekend. 

Both sides dominated and won their respective game quite comfortably. The Reserves ran out winners six nil whilst the Firsts accounted for their opponents four nil. Both coaches took the opportunity to shuffle their players around, still experimenting with formations and giving their players every opportunity to impress their coaches and cement a spot in the starting line up for their first game of the BPL against the arch enemy, Brisbane City on Sunday the 21st of February.

Olympic reach Silver Boot Semi Final

Olympic’s sensational come from behind win against Premier League rivals Eastern Suburbs Tigers in last night’s Silver Boot game ensured the Yeronga outfit top spot in its group and the win secured  them a seat in next Wednesday’s semi final against either Capalaba or its arch rivals, The Brisbane Strikers.

Senior Pre Season Results

Olympic continued its good pre season form when all three senior teams played against Coomera Football Club last night on the Gold Coast. All three sides gave new trialist’s at the club an opportunity to show their talents to the senior coaching staff at the club.

Match against Ipswich Knights changed

Olympic's scheduled preseason games against Ipswich Knights this Saturday, the 6th of February, have been cancelled. Olympic will now play against Buderim Soccer Club on the Sunshine Coast.

Olympic begins Silver Boot strongly

Olympic FC kicked off the Brisbane Roar Silver Boot competition in fine fashion on Tuesday night demolishing their opponents, Mt Gravatt,  5 nil. Goals to Alex Panic (29min), Brad Lacey (37min & 49min ), and Korean’s Seo in ( 65min ) and Frank in the 75 minute typified Olympic’s enthusiasm and their dominance of the game.

Olympic introduces Squirts Program

Olympic FC will begin a Squirts Program at Goodwin Park in 2010. The program is specifically designed for children aged between four and five years old, who are not able to register and play football.

Venue change for Senior trial Matches against Gold Coast Knights this Saturday.

Because of ground maintenance work to their grounds at Carrara, the Gold Coast Knights trial games against Olympic FC scheduled for this weekend – the 16th of January 2010 – have been changed to a new venue.

Rising Korean starlet signs with Olympic

Seventeen year old Korean starlet Syungweon Chung or Frank as he likes to be called, has signed with Olympic for the 2010 Brisbane Premier League season. Frank is a talented midfield player who played with the Gold Coast Knights in the 2009 Gold Coast League.
