Bobby Hamilton leaves Olympic
Wednesday 23rd June
It is with great regret that I announce the resignation of Bobby Hamilton as head coach of Olympic FC.
On behalf of the Olympic Committee, members, sponsors and supporters, I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Bobby Hamilton for the service he gave to Olympic over the last 4 seasons. Bobby is a terrific person and an excellent coach who was always able to get the best out of his players. His training sessions were second to none and the players, officials and members of Olympic were upset by his decision to leave the club. Bobby gladly gave his time to all players at our club coaching both junior boys and junior girls sides at the club and giving his time to discuss tactics with various coaches within Olympic. Bobby was the ultimate professional footballer and coach, he was demanding of his players but more demanding of himself. He did not like to lose and became very upset when his sides were not performing for their supporters. It was a pleasure to work along side him and his comardery will be sorely missed.
Bobby will always be welcomed at Goodwin park and his legacy will never be forgotten. Bobby’s achievements at our club speak for themselves. He will never be forgotten by members of our club and will always be remembered as the person who finally got Olympic promoted back into the Brisbane Premier League.
