Olympic FC are pleased to announce the appointment of Craig O’Donoghue as the clubs new SAP director.
O’Donoghue comes to Olympic as part of the clubs partnership with Brisbane Roar in which the two clubs will work together on player development and talent identification.
In his role O’Donoghue whose former clubs include Everton FC and Wigan Athletic will oversee the Olympic academy and schools programs.
O’Donoghue arrived in Australia in January to coach at the Brisbane Roar Academy, prior to this O’Donoghue’s coaching experience took him to England, Holland, Greece, the United States and Canada.
O’Donoghue spent six seasons at English Premier League club Everton FC, working as a Pre-Academy Coach, Academy Development Officer, Recruitment officer and Ladies Under 18’s coach.
Amongst the players O’Donoghue coached at during his time at Everton were current first team player’s Tom Davies and Beni Baningime.
Following this O’Donoghue coached at Wigan Athletic for four seasons as a foundation phase coach.
As well as his role at Olympic FC O’Donoghue is the Technical Director at Brisbane State High School.
O’Donoghue said he couldn’t wait to get started at Olympic and stated his desire to make the academy program one of the best in the country.

Olympic FC General Manager Salvo Sotille said the club were delighted to have O’Donoghue on board.
