Round 13 sees Olympic FC face off with the University of Queensland FC at Lions Stadium on Sunday July 9 at 5:00pm.

Fresh off a bye week, Olympic FC will look to make it two victories in a row when they face off with UQFC on Sunday afternoon. Olympic were too strong for Western Pride when the two sides met two weeks ago, defeating them 2-1 at Goodwin Park. Olympic will look to carry this run of form into the match with UQ as they aim to achieve two straight victories for the first time this season.

Victory will require a gallant performance from Olympic FC who currently sit in 8th position on ten competition points, seven behind the fifth-placed UQ side. Victory on Sunday will see Olympic close the gap on the top six as the competition enters the latter stages.

However, they will have to reverse the result from the earlier season’s fixture which saw UQFC dominate Olympic at Goodwin Park, defeating the Yeronga based side 3-0. Olympic have since welcomed their mid-season signings who have solidified the midfield and defence, allowing for more goal scoring opportunities throughout matches.

The Round 13 fixture is set to kick off at 5:00pm on Sunday July 9 at Lions Stadium.

Olympic FC Player to Watch: This week’s Olympic FC player to watch is the attacking winger, Phoebe Cave. Cave was dominant against Western Pride two weeks ago and will look to continue her form into this weekend’s clash with UQFC. Cave threatened the goals on numerous occasions and laid on the final pass for numerous chances during the Round 12 encounter. Expect Cave to be a constant threat on Sunday afternoon as she looks to get her Olympic side on the front foot.
