Round 4 of the Senior Women’s PlayStation 4 National Premier League Queensland sees Olympic FC host University of Queensland FC at Goodwin Park on Friday 21st April at 8:30pm.

A disrupted start to the season sees the Senior Women winless after three fixtures in the 2017 National Premier League season. The Women will be out to play on Friday night as they hope to settle into a rhythm after the Easter break with a new coach, Malcolm Allen at the helm.

Weather delays, training cancellation, roster reshuffles and a new coach have all majorly effected the team’s rhythm as they look to go one better than last season and win the league.

With Natalie Tathem selected in the Brisbane Roar squad this season, Liz Doherty has stepped up to captain the side and believes they are ready to turn the corner and post their first victory for the season:

“The new coach is in and it is starting to look really positive for us girls. It will take some time to rebuild but the goal is to still finish the league in the top four.”

Last season’s fixture saw Olympic defeat University of Queensland 2-0 at Goodwin Park which the Senior Women will be hoping to emulate on Friday night. Both goal scorers from that fixture are out of action as Kirsten Jamieson has left the club and Jaz Perin is currently injured. Olympic will be searching for new goal scorers this season and boast a youthful squad who are eager to get the job done.

Olympic FC urge all supporters to attend the fixture to cheer on the new look Women’s side as they look for their first victory of the season. The match is set to kick off at 8:30pm on Friday 21st April at Goodwin Park with the Under 17 Girls kicking off proceedings at 6:30pm.
