Round 8 of the Senior Men’s PlayStation 4 National Premier League Queensland sees Olympic FC host SWQ Thunder at Goodwin Park on Sunday night at 7:00pm.

Olympic will be looking to get back into the winners circle on Sunday night after a 2-2 draw against Moreton Bay United halted their momentum. Olympic left it late in the come from behind draw with goals to Ramone Close in the 75th minute and Kristen Waters in the 85th minute. The result still sees Olympic FC on top of the PS4 NPL QLD ladder on 16 points after seven rounds.

Matt Heath remains on top of the goal scorer’s tally having scored 13 of Olympics’ 24 goals so far this season. Heath’s tally is six higher then SWQ Thunder’s overall goal tally of seven, leaving them in 12th position on the NPL QLD ladder. Olympic will look to capitalise on this poor record with an attacking brand of football which has been extremely successful this season under manager, Terry Kirkham.

Last season saw Olympic FC victorious in both fixtures against SWQ Thunder, receiving all six competitions points. Ramone Close netted in both fixtures last season and will be looking to do so on Sunday night after scoring from the penalty spot in Olympics’ last game against Moreton Bay United.

It is certain to be an entertaining fixture on Sunday night with the Senior Men in red hot form and playing full of confidence this season under Kirkham. Be sure to head to Goodwin Park early on Sunday night to get your seat with the Under 18s kicking off proceedings at 3pm before the 20s fixture at 5pm.
